. Bollywood has often proved to be a learning platform for the teeming youths. Almost every person of every age group gets inspired by our bollywood stars. Their style of dressing is one of the prominent features that the masses look upto. However the kind of fashion that prevailed a few decades back has undergone a sea change over the passage of time.

As far as bollywood sarees are concerned, one can surely see that right from its style to its fabric, everything seems to have got better. Adding more grace to the outfit is the way our celebrities carry their designer coutures. Aishwarya Rai’s inevitable style statement in Devdaas led the masses drooling over her spectacular outfit. Next in a row are many other bollywood stars like Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Hema Malini etc. who have always worn elegant sarees.

Saree – A six yard tradition.

Through out the history, one would find that saree has always made its presence felt. In every civilization, age or generation, woman of the eastern world have always revealedher true grace in a saree. A saree has always veiled her shyness, and expressed her dignity.

A sari made of six yards of cloth has itself morphed from one from to another. It is a panoramic. It can carry prints, machine embroideries and handworks. It can be worn invarious ways to display the most prominently ornamented portions of the length.


Choice of Fabrics

Various fabrics are available for weaving of Saris, depending upon the seasons and occasion. The stature and built of the person who would wear the saree also matters.

Fabricsthat are lustrous like tussar silk, brocade silk, jamevar silk are for heavy work sarees for very special occasions. Cottons, chiffon-saree and georgettes are for casual wear is slightly bulky and broad-shouldered, then chiffons and Georgette are best suited for her. The slimmer bodies should be draped in cotton, khadi and silk.
