Penelope Cruz looked treasured up as she kissed her husband Javier Bardem on Christmas Day at the basketball.

The pair looked cosy on Saturday in their courtside places at the LA Lakers versus Miami Heat match at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 36-year-old actress, who is six months pregnant with their child, couldn't take her eyes off the Eat Pray Love star.

Cruz was marked chatting to the Miami Heat team president Pat Riley, who also took her hand as he chatted to her and Javier. Bardem, 41, and Penelope, who married in July this year, were among a number of celebrities to watch the Lakers get beaten 80-96 by Miami Heat.

Other attendees included Hollywood star Cameron Diaz, who was there after returning from her Christmas holiday with baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

Mayhem, Models in 2010

From the enthused to the normal, Kellie Hush looks at the highs and lows of the year in Australian fashion.

It was Australian television's water-cooler moment of the year and made international news when Sarah Murdoch crowned Kelsey Martinovich Australia's next top model.

Have you hear about David Jones?
In June, David Jones went into major damage control to protect its name when DJs marketing junior Kristy Fraser-Kirk made a claim of sexual harassment against David Jones chief executive Mark McInnes. The $37 million harassment claim would never make it to court but McInnes resigned immediately after the allegations.

Fraser-Kirk is 20 years younger than McInnes and the case turned out to be one of the most publicised sexual harassment cases in Australian history. In August, the usually big summer fashion launch was a sombre event at the Elizabeth Street store in the city.

An interview with Owen Wilson.

Models talk brings you some interesting moments when shared with Owen Wilson.

Owen Wilson is a busy guy, particularly this month. Not only was he busy promoting How Do You Know, but this weekend’s release Little Fockers, too. Right after the Little Fockers press conference, Wilson bolted to promote How Do You Know and then came back to talk Fockers. All it took was a little Sports Center, a bowl of oatmeal and some fruit and Wilson was ready to go.

How was it shooting your more intimate moment with Barbara Streisand?
Owen Wilson: That is cutting straight to the chase. It was actually kind of an exciting scene. To be able to say you kissed Barbara Streisand, that’s pretty major. That’s one you can check off the to do list. But it was kind of surreal; you kiss Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman comes in.

How was it working with such a big cast? You’ve worked with so many fantastic actors at this point; is it just more of the same or can this kind of ensemble still be overwhelming? Do you ever get star struck?
I do. I remember on the first Meet the Parents having to give some speech when I’m showing everyone around my house and I turn and I see Robert De Niro and I just literally forgot all my dialogue just because you know his face, it’s so familiar from all these great roles.

Back to Little Fockers, is it hard to get the work done with a batch of comedians on a set?
Yes! [Laughs] It is hard to get the work done. It’s hard just to organize everybody. You have such a big cast and it ends up being like a reunion. You’re seeing everyone again and I’m just laughing and having a good time. Ben and I have worked together so much that anytime we’re in a scene we were always kind of laughing and stuff together.

What’s it like balancing so many strong personalities? I imagine you all have very different ways of preparing and performing.
Well, I’m pretty loose the way I prepare, although maybe I should have gone to Cirque du Soleil to prepare for some of that end stuff. I think everyone kind of knows the way their character behaves and acts, so everybody’s pretty comfortable at this point.

Speaking about that ending, how comfortable was that blue unitard?
That unitard was surprisingly comfortable. Yes, I can really recommend them. If you haven’t worn a unitrad in a movie, go out and get yourself one. They’re the new fashion item.

Did you get to keep it?
Yes, I did.

Ever wear it for fun?
Yes. [Laughs]

So, how was it doing that last scene? I think it’s safe to assume you had a stunt double for that scene, right?
Yeah. Although some of it no, but they had a wire that they green screened out that allowed me to kind of hang upside down and do some of the stuff. But it’s pretty crazy, isn’t it? How would you describe my character in this movie?

Like a misguided guidance counselor.
[Laughs] That’s good!

He has a good heart.
He’s not mean spirited at all with Ben. He doesn’t know how annoying it is for Ben. De Niro still seems to favor Kevin, but yeah, a misguided guidance counselor. How else would you describe him?

I’d say he’s an all-around good guy. He may not be giving the best advice, but there’s still something warm and lovable about him.
Yeah, that’s good. What scene did you like with Kevin? It’s interesting for me because I haven’t seen the movie.

That last scene with Barbara is pretty funny and the tattoo part, too.
Yeah.

If you had to get a tattoo of someone’s face on your back, who would it be?
Churchill. I like Churchill. That would be a very odd, but good tattoo to get.

Shabby spin

GALAXIE magazine has always been at ahead of the entertainment scene, bringing its readers the latest and most in-depth coverage on showbiz’s most glamorous and fabulous stars. For the Dec 17 issue, however, the team decided to put a spin on things and do something different.

Galaxie takes a tongue-in-cheek look at celebrities who are proudly flashing trashy!

Celebrities, like the featured cover star Kesha, as well as Paris Hilton, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Miley Cyrus have been blurring the boundary of classy by pushing a shabby image. And what’s interesting is that instead of being frowned upon, this normally considered less-than-desirable image is actually being celebrated.

Kesha for one has taken the concept of “trashy” to a whole new level. When Galaxie references the Tik Tok singer’s “vintage” style, it is meant in every literal sense.

A modern Look on Jeans Fashion Trends

Jeans have become popular among teenagers and there are different fashion trends available in jeans. The different jean fashion trends available are,

Skinny jeans, boot cut, or flare. When women wear boots with jeans, they have an instant style and it can make women look sophisticated. Wearing cowboy boots with jeans will give men a great style. But if you want to make the look less ranch-hand and more city slicker, then get a pair of cowboy ankle boots and pair them with skinny jeans.

When it comes into jeans, fit is paramount. For both men’s jeans and women’s jeans, the classic boot cut jeans are said to be the most universally flattering shape. Another popular cut is the skinny jean and it pairs perfectly with flats and heels alike. The possibilities are endless if you go with a sexy low cut or trendy high-rise jeans.

Desperate Housewives episode, The Fashion Show

I'm still gloomy that Ro is gone. And so is Dominique.

Dominique spends almost all this week's show bawling over something or another: her dress, David's dress, the other team, losing. Someone get her a Valium, stat.

This week's task is to design a gown for a high-society charity ball. For a housewife.
Let me just say that I have never watched any Real Housewives episode. Not one. But it takes about 10 seconds to realize they are all insane.

I mean ...

Sadly, Kim Z. isn't here. And Bethenny is skating for her life, mouth agape.

So we're left with these girls, whoever they are. House of Emerald chooses Orange County and dresses them in coppers and golds and ALL WRONG. Jeffrey's dress is drab and inappropriate at the same time. Peekaboo cut-outs? Really?

Our Houston boy Cesar's look is grand -- nearly to a fault. There's too much material happening for his girl's skinny frame. And it's too short. And a bit ill-fitting. But it may not be entirely his fault. Cesar again plays father figure, this time to Golnessa (BEST NAME EVER), and it almost certainly cost him some of his own design.

But it doesn't matter, because Golnessa (BEST NAME EVER) and her weird bottom and side vajayjay are gone. I'm talking about the dress, people.
Nami gets New Jersey and goes for old Hollywood glamour and sea colors and is clearly the improved of the two.

Calvin designs two dresses for Teresa, and ends up with strange draping. He's still about the drama, but it's not really his fault this week. Crazy housewives and dreary designers -- I'd puff up, too.

David turns a TRAGIC Peter Pan-drag look -- were those wings? -- into simple grace, mostly thanks to his fellow designers. Eduardo is, as always, fabulous and again wins the challenge.

Winners of NEWGEN.

It has provided a platform for prominent alumni of designers, including Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Christopher Kane and Erdem.
Now the BFC has outlet the new recipients of NEWGEN funding for Autumn Winter 201's shows in February. The prize, supported by Topshop, provides catwalk and display sponsorship for new talent, and has been instrumental in accelarating the careers of some of Britain's most successful designers. David Koma, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, Mary Katrantzou and Michael van der Ham will all have shows in February funded by NEWGEN. All but David Koma and Mary Katrantzou have formerly shown as part of Fashion East, but NEWGEN is perhaps the most wanted after sponsorship scheme; providing a generous budget, and venues at the hub of London Fashion Week.

Caroline Rush, Joint Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council described the selected designers today as, "directional, modern and showing incredible promise." She continued, "we are excited for them to demonstrate the best of London’s emerging design talent to a global audience“.

Those receiving support for presentations include Christopher Raeburn, Craig Lawrence, JS Lee, JW Anderson (film presentation) and Nasir Mazhar, whose millinery has already been worn by Lady Gaga and Madonna. It will be Topshop's seventeenth season of support for NEWGEN, and Mary Homer, Managing Director of Topshop, said of their connection that "even after nine years [it] is still as exciting and inspiring today as it was back in 2001."

52, the perfect Age for Plastic Surgery from women minds.

According to survey, one in three women over 40 are so worried about their appearance that they would consider plastic surgery. Average women now reflect that, the best time for plastic surgery is 52 years, 41 weeks and four days.

If money were no object, a fifth of women between 40 and and 60 say they would gladly get a face lift to smooth out the signs of ageing. And almost a third - 29 per cent - said they would rather look 20 years younger than be a millionaire.

The survey asked which celebrity women thought was the perfect advertisement for looking great over 60, and the overwhelming choice for women over 40 was Twiggy.

The dress aspect: How Danni contrived Cheryl in the x factor.

It’s been the question from everyone: Which female judge will win this year’s X Factor style stakes? As the series enters its final week, fashion and beauty specialist Claire Coleman gives her verdict...

WEEK ONE: On the first live show Dannii Minogue pulls off the lace look without looking like a second-time bride, but Cheryl Cole seems to have cut down a flamenco dancer’s costume.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: J’Aton Couture; Cheryl: Zuhair Murad

WINNER: Dannii.

WEEK TWO:Undoubtedly one of Cheryl’s worst looks and she knows it. She looks painfully uncomfortable in this too-short, cut-out skater frock, and those fussy shoes probably aren’t helping. And, yes, while I concede that there’s a touch of Maggie Thatcher about Dannii’s outfit, she looks classy and together.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Antonio Berardi; Cheryl: Versus.

WINNER: Dannii

WEEK THREE: Dannii’s gone for the Fifties sexy housewife thing while Cheryl’s outfit screams young, finger-on-the-pulse fashion. Both look like they’ve tried too hard.

DESIGNERS Dannii: Dolce & Gabbana; Cheryl: Kristian Aadnevik.

WINNER: Tie.

WEEK FOUR: Another uncomfortable night for Cheryl in her naughty French maid fancy dress attire. Dannii nails it with her Mad Men-inspired red ruffled dress.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Marchesa; Cheryl: Jonathan Saunders.

WINNER: Dannii

WEEK FIVE: Er, did Cheryl forget to get dressed? She looks as though she got her slip caught in her knickers and ran out the door anyway. To be fair, Dannii could be accused of looking like a giant sweet, but at least she remembered her dress.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Philip Armstrong; Cheryl: Pucci.

WINNER: Dannii

WEEK SIX:I know Cheryl looks as though she’s auditioning for a role as an evil Princess Leia in a soft-porn version of Star Wars, but I quite like it. Dannii’s classic toga-style dress really suits her, but I’d have preferred it if she’d ditched the gaudy turquoise earrings and gone for something simpler in gold.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Carla Zampatti; Cheryl: Georges Chakra.

WINNER: Tie

WEEK SEVEN: It may look as though Cheryl’s ripped off Dannii’s look from last week and added some gold foil, but it’s still miles better than Dannii’s boring brown column dress.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Gucci; Cheryl: BodyAmr.

WINNER: Cheryl

WEEK EIGHT: Every part of my brain says Cheryl’s dress shouldn’t work — it’s too gold, too spangly, too Oscar statuette. Yet I love it, and so does she. But Dannii looks uncomfortable in her acres of fussy, Greek-inspired red chiffon.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Carla Zampatti; Cheryl: Gianfranco Ferre.

WINNER: Cheryl

WEEK NINE: What with Dannii’s oversized corsage and Cheryl in a work of origami, neither of these outfits represents their best look. Still, both are flattering, even if the detailing is a bit wacky.

DESIGNERS: Dannii: Aurelio Costarella; Cheryl: Stephane Rolland.

WINNER: Tie

AND THE WINNER IS...
While Cheryl has outshone Dannii in previous series, this year Ms Minogue has really hit her stride.

She’s learned to keep things simple, having worked out that clean-cut lines look best on camera.

Her remaining act, Matt Cardle, may be the bookies’ favourite to win this weekend’s final, but in the style stakes, it’s Dannii who has the X Factor.

Celebrities are offline on Twitter for charity.

The choice between living in a world where children don't die of HIV/AIDS, or a world where Celebrities like Kim Kardashian doesn't tweet possibly wasn't supposed to be so hard. But the reality TV starlet is among a number of celebrities headed by the singer Alicia Keys who remain offline after quitting social media sites until fans donate $US1 million to the AIDS charity Keep A Child Alive. ''That means no more Twitter or Facebook updates from any of them,'' the website warned when the ''digital death'' campaign launched on World AIDS Day last Wednesday.

''No  more knowing where they are, what they had for dinner, or what interesting things are happening in their lives. From here on out, they're dead. Kaput. Finished.'' But life without hearing from Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest and Lady Gaga seems to be more bearable than organisers realised. Almost a week into the plan, only $US287,000 had been raised as of yesterday. Nothing to be sneezed at, sure. But that was achieved after the site halved the minimum mandatory donation amount to $5 on Friday. Lady Gaga, who has reminded Twitter fans five times (in the third person) that she is offline, further drove the message home by visiting a Chanel store in Madrid apparently dressed as a mourner. But Keep A Child Alive might have its eye on the greater good all along: its website quietly details several ways for people to donate to the charity - some of which seem to bypass supporting the charity tweeters.

ALL about Fashion, Outfit, outlook and Being notable.

Being fashionable nowadays also means considering of your clothes, of your tastes, of your manner. Fashion is an outfit, it is a style. It is a form of art, just like painting or modernism and it is what we have inherited from our intimates. There is an English saying according to which you should always eat enough for you to be satisfied, but dress up so that the others around you also like you. Fashion also represents a balance between your personal tastes and the tastes which are commonly accepted, it means adopting a personal touch, which matches your times, it is the art of choosing the right elements for the right occasions.

Matching your clothes suitable for you is still a matter of taste, but it is a matter of good taste. This is no longer something subjective. It is already something that is associated with politeness. We dress up for ourselves and for the others. The fashion houses we have today offer everyone the chance to express themselves. There is a continuous fight over adapting, over being sincere when it comes to fashion. However, it appears that the fashion styles which will follow will be fashion styles which have nothing inflexible in them, which are evolved, everyone being their own fashion designer and learning to separate what fits them from what doesn't fit them. However, there is one universally valid rule and that is that all bright colors represent a lack of taste.

Actress Helena Bonham Carter has exposed she explode into laughter after learning that she has been named one of the best dressed celebrities.

The "Alice In Wonderland" star was chosen as one of the best dressed celebrities by Vanity Fair magazine. The actress says she laughed at the tag because she lauded for the same outfits critics had previously savaged her for, reports express.co.uk.

"It was a triumph! It made me laugh because I thought it was a joke when I found out. But when I saw the article, I thought, `Oh, the photos they`ve chosen are as bad as the ones they print when I`m worst dressed," she said.

The 44-year-old insists she won`t be changing her ways as she grows older.

"I don`t feel any pressure to dress well. When I was younger, I cared more what people say. When I did do the Oscar thing, I did feel quite a lot of pressure to dress a certain way," she said.

JEANS FASHION

There has never been a wider range of one unique style of clothing. Jeans are a typical American staple that has grown to be worn by every sector of society. No longer are jeans simply blue and firm, though that old classic still remains. Some hits for the spring and summer include jeans dusted with glitter, ripped jeans and denim shorts.

Studded pockets originated during the gold rush when the found gold outweighed the denim pockets and caused them to tear. One way to rock your Denim is to express their connection with the gold rush by wearing jeans with gold star dust brushed transverse the thighs. Metallics in fashion are expanding their land past jewelry and are finding their way on to fabrics due to the new adherent qualities of finishes on fabrics. When daisy dukes are not an option long jeans can still be worn, even in the heat. Ripped jeans have their place in the past but new styles are tearing down to threads. Unraveled stringy jeans are hardly holding together this summer but as they fall apart the legs will be exposed to the summer air. Jeans fashion became the culture of modern trends.

The more destroyed they are, the better. Black jeans look particularly nice in shreds and they look great with almost everything except a date to a nice restaurant. They can be tattered by opening a hole in the pant and dancing around and another way to rip them up is with a cheese greater. Very detailed holes and shapes can be created by opening individual seams or groups of seams with the wonderful seam ripper invention that are conveniently found in ease stores. Denim shorts are the classic casual summer bottom and the best thing about summer shorts is the jeans from last year can magically change into cut offs with the swipe of a scissor. Because the destroyed look is in the shorts do not have to look perfectly tailored.

The most popular hairstyle trends of men.

In fashion, hair style plays a role and if you want to be a fashion model, you need to understand the different types of hairstyle trends that exist. Here, we will have a look at 2010 mens hairstyle trends.

Short hairstyles:

High and tight or fade is the most popular short hairstyle trend in 2010. Enough hair on the top and clipper cut around the sides and the back is this style characterized about and it has many variations.
Medium hairstyle:

In this style the men do not have a short hair and also a long hair. They have a medium hair in their head and improve the style of the hair by texture and color.
Long hairstyle:

Long hairstyles give another stylish look with hairs extending long in the front and back. It works best with pomade and for the best look; you need to maintain it properly.

We love it when Paris shows her wild side in fashion, and this was surely a notice-me ensemble. A sleek center-parted ponytail was a perfect finish to her look.

Capes, kitten heels and Mad Men - I got totally wrong few things in this year.

Being a top fashion editor is certainly a odd kind of job.

You spend all year being ferried in cars from catwalk show to catwalk show, having flutes of bubbly pressed into your hand while your head is turned by 16-year-old models on the catwalk. You visit the showrooms of all the big designers and High Street stores to eat trendy canapes. You think about color, fit and value for money.

You then tell your readers about all these trends, and what they should be trying this winter. And then a few months later you browse the winter sales rails and see all your predictions languishing on the hangers, their prices slashed — and your status is in tatters. The proof of the pudding is whether or not the public bought the stitch stuff.

Much of what I predicted the consumer would love, you resoundingly dismissed such as the Mad Men look, which is all retro prints, full skirts, rigid handbags and an updo. I even dressed up in this look for you, and still you voted by keeping your wallets snapped firmly shut.

Dannii Minogue is eclipsed by her much taller business partner at launch.

It's always Kylie who has been referred to as the 'pint-sized pop princess'.

But this night it was Dannii Minogue who took that title as she posed with her Project D business partner Tabitha Somerset Webb at the launch of their new fragrance. The 5ft 2in star was eclipsed by Somerset Webb, who appeared to be a good half foot taller than her 39-year-old colleague

As well as the clear height difference between the pair, all eyes were on Dannii's enlightening black dress - a much more risqué option than the modest outfits she has been sporting on The X Factor. Danniii wore a plunging black embellished dress which showed off her enviable cleavage as she posed at the launch.
It's been a busy few days for Dannii, who has just returned from a romantic break with boyfriend Kris Smith and baby son Ethan to Monte Carlo.

Modest fashion dresses

Animal prints in fashion:

The thought that comes to your mind when you think of the wild animals is fear, but its design in your dresses gives a fashion look. Today, it has become a new fashion trend and it reflects the feminine glamour when it is worn in a right way. Even the iphones that are introduced now has cover with giraffe and zebra prints. Animal printed designs give a personalized look and also it can be used to create awareness on the depletion of animals.

Cozy Country:

Cozy country fashion dresses remember a romantic dream of having tea in a cottage in the English countryside. Charcoal dresses, ivory dresses and chunky Fair Isle knits are some among them. Wool sweaters, faux trim are some among them. When you wear these dresses, it remains that you a countryside cottage.

Fashion party dresses:

Party is a place where you meet lots of people and sometimes you meet even your favorite celebrities and the party dresses should give a gloomy and sexy look. Velvet dresses, faux fur jackets, vintage sequin tops and platform wedges are the fashion party dresses

Pierce Mattie boost Emma Watson.

At Pierce Mattie PR we love Eco-fashion particularly when it's getting a new celebrity boost, this time from Harry Potter alum, Emma Watson. Fresh on the heels of her company with People Tree last summer for her "Love from Emma" collection and her endorsement of their "The Youth Collection" this fall, Watson is now partnering with Italian fashion designer, Alberta Ferretti, to launch a fair trade organic fashion line.

As our knowledge of sustainable fashion has evolved, we've learned that organic clothing doesn't necessarily equal utilizing fair trade practices. Fair trade: "The objective is not profit at any cost, but to help people in the world's most marginalized communities escape poverty and promote sustainability." How to be fit and well happy.

WHETHER you're feeling stressed out, emotionally delicate or suffering from the winter blues, there's a fitness direction to turn it around.

Emotions ride high in the lives of celebrities, such as Cheryl Cole who is 27 years, and their problems remind us how brittle we all can be. Exercise has newly been hailed as nature's own antidepressant - an effective treatment for sadness, anxiety and depression. It's all thanks to mood-boosting chemicals a workout produces in your brain. Finally fashion celebrities are at their best.

Serotonin and endorphin levels rise with exercise, which can strengthen positive emotion and behaviour. And a workout can fix other problems too, such as stress and anger, by diverting your mind, relaxing your muscles and even altering your body's biochemistry.

Fashion trends are not a constant one.
